4th Annual Cupid's Night in Essex Another Success
The Essex Recreation Centre was hoppin' last Saturday night, February 11th, as the Essex 73's Junior Hockey Club hosted it's 4th annual Cupid's Night Celebration featuring Legends Live.
Food was catered in by Rizzo's Crossing and the entertainment was provided by Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions.
"Each year we never know what to expect but we're always estatic with the results," noted team president Gord Andry. "This year is no exception."
The 73's have always tried to give it's guests a good variety of music but most of all, they always provide their guests a good time.
This year, guests in attendance were treated to a comedian, a couple tribute acts and a solid dance band.
'Stoney' opened things up with a few laughs, poking a little fun at the City of Windsor as well as the East-coasters. Once the crowd was warmed up, Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury hit the stage, performing such classic hits as 'Start Me Up', 'Satisfaction', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', Another One Bites The Dust', 'We Will Rock You', and even a rendition of 'Great Pretender', fitting for a Valentine's themed celebration.
After the intermission, people danced the night away with Super 70's Live, complete with outlandish costumes and props reminiscent of the 1970's.
"I loved the night," said VIP table sponsor Tony de Ryk ofKennedy Funeral Home. "It's the best year ever, in my opinion."

Friday, February 3rd, the Rose City Rhythms Synchronized Skating Club hosted their 3rd Annual A Night Under The Stars event featuring Legends Live.
The event attracted over 500 people including 23 VIP tables and 2 Corporate Sponsorship tables.
Emcee 'Stoney' got the night going with his slap-stick humour. The night was high-lighted with Las Vegas-style tributes to Cher, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Elvis and Lady Gaga.
"Our feedback thus far has been nothing but excellent," said Rose City Rhythms' special events co-ordinator Angela Calamita. "It just keeps getting better each year."
The club is already in the planning of next year's event. "It's never to early to start working on it," noted Calamita. "We're excited!"
It is expected that the club raised over $15,000.
Legends Live Perform in Leamington for the Flyers
Cher, Frankie Valli and Elvis put on a musical celebration Friday, Nov. 25th at the Portuguese Club in Leamington in support of the Leamington Flyers Junior hockey club.
Comedian 'Stoney' was also on hand.
Legends Live helped the club raise over $4,000.
Essex Minor Hockey Celebrates 50 Years
Legends Live helped Essex Minor Hockey Association (1961-2011) celebrate their 50th anniversary, Friday, November 4th at the Ciociaro Club in Windsor, ON.
The emcee this night was 'Stoney' and entertainment included comedian Bob Phillips, Legends Live tribute to Neil Diamond, and Windsor and Michigan's dance band sensation The Bombsquad.
Essex County Dancers Fundraiser a Huge Success!
Friday, October 21st, 2011 Legends Live was at it again, entertaining over 400 people at the Serbian Centre in Windsor, ON.
Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga, Tim McGraw and Elvis were on the bill.
Funds raised from this event went towards supporting 42 youth dancers.
Legends Live Part of Super 70's Gala in Windsor

October 7th, 2011, 450 people turned out at the Caboto Club in Windsor, ON in support of CAW Local 444 Sports Club.
The entertainment was provided by Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions and featured Legends Live performances by TINA TURNER, NEIL DIAMOND and SHANIA TWAIN. SUPER 70's LIVE, a local dance band closed out the evening.
The money raised through ticket sales, corporate sponsorship, raffles and silent auction, went to help youth sports teams in the Windsor and Essex County area.
Tim 'E' & the Yes Men Put a Charge into London

Friday, Oct 21, 2011, the Best Western Lamplighter Inn's Crystal Ballroom was packed for the return of international multi-award winning Elvis tribute act, Tim 'E' & the Yes Men.
Nearly 500 people attended the show, which also included on the bill Graham Goss as Elton John, and comedian/emcee, Jim "Stoney" Stonehouse.
Tim performed for nearly two hours, nailing such Vegas era classics as You've Lost That Loving Feelin', Sweet Caroline, Walk A Mile In My Shoes, Suspicious Minds and How Great Thou Art.
Uncharactersitic to Elvis, Tim and the band returned to the stage for an encore which included Aloha From Hawaii hit, American Trilogy, and of course, the show-ending hit, Viva Las Vegas.
Dressed in the popular Powered Blue jumpsuit, Tim 'E' fed off the crowd, turning in an energetic performance backed by his 12-piece ensemble.
It was Tim 'E' & the Yes Men's first time performing in London in over six years. Based on the turnout and reviews, it won't be another six years before their next show.
Essex Fun Fest Entertainment Lineup Sensational
The Essex Fun Fest was the place to by July 8-10, 2011 in Essex, ON.
Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions was hired to bring in the entertainment, and they hit the mark on all three nights.
Friday night, local rock legends, the United Snakes, opened for Queen tribute, The Game. Nearly 500 people were in attendance and enjoyed songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Under Pressure and We Wiil Rock You.
On Saturday night, the world's #1 tribute to Bruce Springsteen - Bruce in The USA - hit the stage and showed why they are deserving of such status.
The band did not disappoint, picking off hits one by one including Born In The USA, Dancing In The Dark, Hungry Heart, Born To Run and numerous others.
Matt Ryan's look and sound is remarkable. For most of the evening, the 400-plus in attendance were treated to a concert as good as an actual Bruce Springsteen concert, or better.
Sunday night, Tim 'E' & the Yes Men, a 12-piece backing band, took the stage and for 90 minutes made the 300-plus people in attendance foget the King was dead.
Opening with the classic That's All Right Mama, and closing with Viva Las Vegas, there was plenty inbetween to satisfy all Elvis eras.
Legends Live Scores in Leamington
Saturday, April 2nd, Legends Live was on hand to help the Leamington SC United Soccer Club raise money for their upcoming 2011 season.
Around 300 people were on hand for the 2nd annual event held at the Portuguese Club.
Guests were treated to tributes to Cher, Elton John and The Beatles.
The club announced that there will be a 3rd annual next Spring, and that Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions, and Legends Live, will be involved.
Legends Live Perform to 1,100 in Support of Hospice
Saturday, March 26th, 2011, Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions, and Legends Live, provided the opening entertainment at the 6th annual Savour the Sea Gala in support of Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
The event was held at the Caboto Club in Windsor and attracted 1,100 people at a cost of $75 a plate. The evening also included additional entertainment, a 9-course dinner, a live auction and raffles.
Legends Live performances included Neil Diamond, Elvis and Lady Gaga. Other entertainment was Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame inductees The Reflections, and Fantasia, a local dance band. Glenn Bacarro of Bacarro Productions and Entertainment was the official master of ceremonies.
The gala attracted many of Windsor's biggest players such as Ken Lewenza, President of CAW, and Terry Rafih of Rafih Automotive Group.
3rd Annual Essex 73's Cupid's Night a Hit!
The Essex 73's held their annual Cupid's Night: A Valentine's Day Celebration, Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Essex, ON at the Essex Recreation Centre.
350 people were on hand and all the ladies were treated to a long-stemmed rose and a personal escort to their table by an Essex 73's player, an elegant move by the organization.
A-1 Chinese Food catered a 10-course buffet meal which the guests thoroughly enjoyed.
Entertainment included tributes to Cher, Elton John, Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi.
The night was rockin', and the music went until 1am...
Legends Live Go To Bat For Canadian Diabetes Assoc.

Friday, February 11th, 2011, Legends Live were on hand at the Croatian Centre in Windsor, ON to help raise money for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Neil Diamond was first up, playing a 30-minute set including Cherry, Cherry, America, Forever In Blue Jeans and, of course, Sweet Caroline, among others.
Rod Stewart followed that up with a 45-minute, high-energy set including Forever Young, Maggie May, If You Think I'm Sexy, Hot Legs and Infatuation, as well as seevral other big hits.
The night closed with 2 hours of live music courtesy of Super 70's Live, who played all the great songs of the 1970's, and more.
750 Turn Out at Caboto Club for Legends Live
It was a huge crowd Saturday, Feb 4, 2011 at the Caboto Club in Windsor as the Rose City Ryhthms hosted their 2nd annual Legends Live fundraiser.
The club raised over $20,000.
The $35 ticket included dinner and a tribute show, produced by Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions.
Entertainers included tributes to Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, Elvis, Tina Turner and Tom Jones.
On the heels of their first Legends Live fundraiser the year before where they raised over $10,000, the group was estatic with the night. Their next fundraiser is Friday, Feb 3, 2012 at the Caboto Club in Windsor, again.
Legends Live Open UCCU Complex in Amherstburg
Legends Live opened it's second major sporting complex in the last 7 months when they performed Saturday, January 29th, 2011 at the Grand Opening of the all-new United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg, ON.
Over 600 people took in the 3-hour plus concert that included Legends Live tributes to Elton John, Tim McGraw, Lady Gaga, Cher and Elvis.
"We were all thrilled at the outcome, the calibre of the performers and most importantly, the professionalism in every aspect of the evening," said Debi Durocher of Indaba Marketing, the company responsible for the marketing of the new complex. "A first-class show all the way!"
Legends Live Ring in 2011 in Chatham
Legends Live rang in the New Year at Club Lentinas in Chatham, ON.
Nearly 200 people attended the gala and were treated to tribute performances by Elton John, Cher and of course, Lady Gaga.
Cher kicked the night off with several of her biggest hits including If I Can Turn Back Time, I Found Someone and Believe.
Elton John performed hits such as Philadelphia Freedom, Bennie and the Jets, Pinball Wizard and Saturday Night's All Right For Fightin'. The crowd enjoyed the 15-minute medley of hit songs Candle In The Wind, Circle of Life and many others.
Lady Gaga came on at 11:30pm and led the crowd into the new year with songs such as Poker Face, Bad Romance, Monster and Love Games.
The event lasted until 2:00am and no one left disappointed.
Legends Live in Support of Hope For Michaela
270 guests turned out Saturday, November 27th, 2010 at the Serbian Centre in Windsor, ON in support of Hope For Michaela and her fight against MPS.
Legends Live, Michigan and Southwestern Ontario's #1 Tribute Show provided all the entertainment, including superstar country tributes to Tim McGraw and Shania Twain, and tributes to two of the greatest pop-rock entertainers of all-time, Neil Diamond and Rod Stewart.
Guests got 3 hours of entertainment in all, and enjoyed some of the timeless gems such as Live Like You Were Dying, I Feel Like A Women, Sweet Caroline and Hot Legs.
The group raised a lot of money on their 50/50 draws, raffles and silent auction.
Legends Live Put on Killer Show for Skate Windsor
Legends Live was on hand Saturday, Nov. 27th at the Serbian Centre in Windsor to entertain 240 of Skate Windsor guests.
Spot on tributes to Brooks & Dunn, Elton John and Bon Jovi made for a fun and entertaining night for all.
Brooks & Dunn opened the 3 1/2 hour show, playing hits such as My Maria, Red Dirt Road and Your Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone.
Next up with Elton John, seller of over 250-million records worldwide. With hits like Crocadile Rock, Philadelphia Freedom, Candle In The Wind and Bennie and the Jets, the crowd was getting tuned up for the headliner, Bon Jovi Forever.
Playing all the great hits of Bon Jovi, from Raise Your Hands, Bad Medicine and Livin' On A Prayer, to Wanted Dead Or Alive, Lay Your Hands On Me and Bed Of Roses, Bon Jovi Forever kept the crowd thoroughly entertained for over 2 hours.
3rd Annual Sexy & Scary Halloween Bash
All the Sexy and Scary freaks were out celebrating the 3rd annual Sexy & Scary Halloween Bash in Essex, ON.
$400 in costume prize money was handed out, and Area 51 kept the dance floor busy until 1am.
Proceeds went to the Essex Legion Men's Slo-Pitch.
Country Night in Leamington with the Jr. B Flyers

The Leamington Flyers hosted a Country Night Thursday, October 28th .
The Flyers and CJSP 92.7FM partnered to present a night filled with much fun and entertainment.
The night started off at 6:00pm with a 1-hour tribute concert in the lobby area with Brooks & Dunn and Tim McGraw.
Both entertainers are seasoned professionals who have performed all over North America, filling casinos, arenas, convention halls, theatres and festivals.
Tim McGraw was amazing singing huge hits such as I Like It I Love It and Live Like You Were Dying.
Hard Workin’ Men, a tribute to Brooks & Dunn followed McGraw. The duo had the fans thrilled when they each slipped on Flyers' hockey jerseys.
The duo played for 40 minutes and sang such hits as Red Dirt Road and My Maria.
Legends Live and Windsor Croatian Centre Team Up to Help Canadian Diabetes Association
Saturday, September 25th, Legends Live lent a hand in support of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
The Croatian Centre, in association with Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions, put on a high-energy show, leaving the crowd bewildered.
Elton John kicked offf the night opening up with the signature Candle In The Wind.
"We were impressed that he actually does play the piano, too," said a gentleman from the UK. "I get to see a lot of tribute shows but rarely can the artisit play the intrument of his character, but Elton was amazing, just amazing."
From there Elton banged out one hit after another including Bennie and the Jets, Your Song, Philadelphia Freedom and of course, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.
Cher was present, complete with black leather, and Elvis was also in the house.
Tim 'E', who just recently captured Grand Champion at the Collingwood Elvis Festival, always gets the crowd inching up in their seats with hits like Burning Love, In The Ghetto, Hurt and Suspicious Minds.
Topping off the show was a 30-minute tribute to the new Queen of Pop, Lady Gaga. Bad Romance, Disco Stick, Poker Face. She sang them all and the crowd was in shock with the supberb vocals and the uncanny resemblance to the real Lady Gaga.
"Our guests had a great time," commented Windsor Croatian Centre manager Tina Mataija. "We will be doing another show for sure! Likely a Valentine's Day event."

80's Inc. and Riot House Perform at Essex 73's Gala
The Essex 73's Junior hockey club hosted a homecoming weekend filled with all sorts of special events this past August 6, 7 and 8th weekend.
Friday night, legendary Hockey Night in Canada producer, and Essex native, Ralph Mellanby was at the Royal Canadian Legion with the Essex 73's exectuive, signing books and socializing with the locals.
Saturday night was the first-ever BBQ Steak Dinner and Dance at the newly built Essex Centre Sports Complex.
250 people purchased tickets to hear guest speakers Mellanby, former NHLers and Essex 73's alumni, Keith Crowder and Warren Rychel, as well as Essex native Dan O'Halloran, the referee of the historic 2010 Olympic Gold medal hockey game in Vancouver.
Members of the successful teams of the past were also on hand to parade in the championship banners from the old rink to their new home.
The night also consisted of a raffle table and a silent auction. A Bob Probert autographed Chicago Black Hawks' jersey was one of the larger bids of the night, going for $400. All proceeds benefited the Essex 73's.
The night was capped off with music compliments of Riot House and 80's Inc.
On Sunday, the 73's hosted their annual Golf Tournament, and this year's tournament drew nearly 130 golfers and 79 hole sponsorships.
Legends Live Raises $2,000 for Youth Baseball Team
Legends Live helped the Windsor West Little League T-Ball team raise valuable funds for their upcoming tournament in Ancaster.
The T-Ballers are vying for first place at the upcoming Ancaster World T-ball Championships, July 30, 31 and August 1.
Tim McGraw and Keith Urban performed to an energetic crowd of around 100 guests.
The event was hosted at South Windsor's Knights of Columbus Council 4386 Friday, July 23rd.
Legends Live Entertain Before Fireworks Show
Sunday, July 11th, under the Big Top at the Essex Fun Fest, the Essex Legion sponsored Legends Live, Michigan and Southwestern Ontario's #1 Tribute show.
10 local performers were on hand to entertain the crowd prior to the annual Fireworks.
On hand for the three-hour concert was Patsy Cline, Richie Valens, Neil Diamond, Garth Brooks, Buddy Holly, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, The Blues Brothers and 50's Elvis.
The show was well received, and the Fun Fest committee reported that the show helped attract much needed business to the beer tent on a day that typically does not draw well.
STYX and Journey Tribute Headline Essex Fun Fest
Saturday, July 10th, Windsor Family Credit Union presented CLASSIC ROCK TRIBUTE CONCERT, featuring GREATEST HITS LIVE and their note-for-note tribute to rock powerhouses, STYX and JOURNEY.
THE UNITED SNAKES got things started, hitting some classic rock covers such as The Who's Baba O'Reilly, April Wine's Roller and John Waite & The Baby's Midnight Rendesvous.
Over 500 were well warmed up for the headliners, Greatest Hits Live.
The 6-piece band cranked up the sound and came out of the gate with several STYX songs including Foolin Yourself, Rockin' The Paradise, Lady and Too Much Time On My Hands.
After the one-hour STYX tribute, the band broke into classic Journey. Anyway You Want It, Lights, Stone In Love, Faithfully, Seperate Ways, and of course, Don't Stop Believin'.
Chesney, Shania and Gretchen Heat up Essex Fun Fest
SX Video and PC Connection, along with Shaw Direct, welcomed SUPERSTARS OF COUNTRY TRIBUTE CONCERT, Friday, July 9th, at the all-new state-of-the-art Essex Centre Sports Complex in Essex, ON.
Tributes to GRETCHEN WILSON, SHANIA TWAIN and KENNY CHESNEY were enjoyed by all.
It was the first-ever concert at the new rink, and 430 people took in the show despite the rising temperature the day of the show.
Gretchen Wilson opened things up, getting the crowd going with signature songs Redneck Women and Here For The Party.
Essex was literally stunned when Kenny Chesney hit the stage. The manorisms, sound and looks were spot-on as Chesney ripped thru an hour set playing hits such as Keg In The Closet, Young, Fast Forward and Beer In Mexico, just to mention a few.
The highlight of the set was when he called Gretchen up to the stage to do a duet of the John Mellencamp favourite, Hurts So Good.
The band was hot this night, and when Shania hit the stage, the crowd was already in a frenzy.
Shanai opened with I Feel Like A Women, and played for greater than an hour, touching on most of her greatest hits including Up!, From This Moment, Any Man Of Mine and Honey I'm Home.
Essex Youth and Teens Enjoy Video Dance
Thursday, July 8th, the Essex Fun Fest, in association with Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions and The Main Event Productions, hosted Crank Dat Youth & Teen Video Dance, the first entertainment event in the all-new Essex Centre Sports Complex.
Over 200 youth and teens took in the night, sponsored by Sonny's Pizza of Essex.
DJ Andrew Corbett provided the sound.
Over 500 Attend Beach Grove Private Party
Beach Grove Golf and Country Club, in Windsor, Ontario welcomed Bon Jovi Forever, Friday, July 2nd.
Over 500 people were in attendance, dancing on the waterfront until well past the city curfew.
Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga Lend a Helping Hand
The Ciociaro Club Windsor pavillion was rockin' Saturday, May 22nd as Bon Jovi Forever and special Lady Gaga tribute guest, Bad Romance, took the stage to benefit the Ciociaro Soccer Club, and Jonah Chrissman, a youth soccer player whom club director John Ferri is associated with.
Jonah has been diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma, a common type of bone cancer that affects adolescents and young adults.
Over 250 people turned out to support the cause, and the club raised $2,500 for Jonah.
Orbison and Diamond Play Two at Pelee Days Inn
Roy Orbison and Neil Diamond performed at the Pelee Days Inn Dinner Theatre April 27th and 27th.
Orbison, performed by Mike Mulligan of Sudbury, On, opened up each night, and played all the big hits including Only The Lonely, Crying, Oh Pretty Women, You Got It, and Runnin' Scared.
That set the stage for Diamond, performed by Mark Thomas of Elmira, ON.
Thomas beleted out a 45-minute session that had the guests up and dancing with songs such as America, Kentucky Women, I'm A Believer, Brother Loves Travelin' Salvation Band, and Sweet Caroline.
225 Cheer On Legends in Support of Skate Windsor
Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Teutonia Club in Windsor, Elvis, Tim McGraw, Shania Twain and Cher, were all on hand in support of Skate Windsor.
The club, celebrating 70 years, was raising money for their upcoming 2010-2011 skate season.
The night started off with a deliciuos country-style dinner, followed up by an excellent lineup of entertainment.
The highlight of the night was during Cher's performance when she walked in the audience and hand-picked a gentleman to help her perform I Got You Babe. The crowd was estatic.
Leamington Rocks with Legends and Bon Jovi
Around 350 people turned out to support the Leamington SC United Soccer Club, and were entertained by Legends Live and Bon Jovi Forever, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Portuguese Community Club in Leamington, ON.
Neil Diamond was a surprise guest replacement for Rod Stewart, and Shania Twain and Elvis were also on hand, but it was special guests, Bon Jovi Forever, regarded as Canada's #1 Bon Jovi tribute band, that stole the show.
The 5-man band hit the stage around 9:30pm and played for 2 hours, mixing in hit after hit such as Livin' On A Prayer, Bad Medicine, Wanted Dead Or Alive and Runaway. Theye even paid tribute to Elvis with their rendition of Suspicious Minds.
The club has not set a date yet, but have confirmed another event next year.
Legends Live Draws Back Its Bow
Two of country music's biggest stars, and two of rock 'n roll's biggest stars, joined together and brought down the house Saturday, February 13th at the Essex 73's 2nd annual Cupids Night: A Valentines Day Celebration.

Tim McGraw, the Ultimate Tribute, paid a visit to the Essex 73's Alumni Breakaway Lounge Tuesday, February 2nd.
The performance was a snaek preview of the upcoming Cupids Night: A Valentine's Day Celebration, to be held at the Hellenic Banquet Halls Saturday, February 13th.
Guests of the Belle River Canadiens/Essex 73's matchup enjoyed a pre-game mini-concert which included songs such as "Live Like You Were Dying", "I Like It, I love It" and the recent #1 Country Billboard hit, "Southern Voice".

Tim McGraw Tribute Helps Launch New 95.9FM Country Station at WFCU
Turnkey Entertainment and Promotions partnered up with new Windsor country station CJWF 95.9FM to provide VIP entertainment at the Johnny Reid concert, Friday, December 11, 2009, at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, ON.
Reid is Canada's hottest new country act. He was nominated at the 2008 Juno Awards for Country Recording of the Year for Kicking Stones. Reid was named Male Artist of the Year at the 2008 Canadian Country Music Awards. His hits include Darlin', A Women Liek You, and Dance With Me.
The VIP reception kicked off at 5:30pm with the Damelo Brothers Band and Tim McGraw tribute artist, Peter Phillips took the stage at 6:00pm for a 25-minute set.
The 150-plus people were treated with a spotlight performance of a medley of McGraw hits including Live Like You Were Dying, I Like It, I Love It, Last Dollar and My Next Thirty Years.

Clint O'Neil Benefit Draws 465 Guests
Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, Legends Live went to work at the Hellenic Banquet Halls in Oldcastle, ON for a great cause - Patrick and Tari O'Neil, whose father Clint was recently killed in an auto accident.
Comedian, Leo Dufour, got the night started and had the audience literally in sticthes with his zany humour.
A live auction caught the attention of many, and $6,100 was raised on the auction alone.
People patiently waiting for the music entertainment of the program were rewarded with Peter Phillips' Ultimate Tim McGraw Tribute.
Peter performed many of Tim McGraw's signature songs including I Like It, I Love It, Don't Take The Girl, Midnight Special, and Live Like You Were Dying.
The 50/50 draw was an incredible $800 to the winner.
The night concluded with disc jockey music until 1:30am.
Sexy & Scary Halloween Bash!
All the creepies and scaries - approx 250 in all - were out on Saturday, October 31st at the Essex Recreation Complex, 242 Talbot Street N., in Essex, Ontario annual Sexy & Scary Halloween Bash.
The legendary Blues Brothers had the crowd on it's feet, with hits such as Expressway To Love, Sweet Home Chicago and Who's Makin' Love.
The headliner, The Ultimate 80's Tribute band, 80's Inc. , kept the party going strong until 1am with hits such as New Sensation, Purple Rain, Living On A Prayer, Sweet Child 'O Mine, Nothin' But A Good Time, and more.
$375 in Prize money was awarded for best costumes in several categories including Scariest costume, Sexiest costume, Best Overall costume.
Proceeds to benefit the Essex Legion Men's and Ladies' Slo-Pitch team, and Essex Boy's Hockey.
Country Ho Down at the Essex Recreation Complex
300-plus people enjoyed a fantastic show Saturday, October 10th at the Essex Recreation Complex.
The Essex Source For Sports Junior Men's Hockey, in conjunction with CJSP 92.7fm Country radio, presented Today's Country Superstar Tribute Show, and it did not disappoint.
Gretchen Wilson got the show going, followed by Brad Paisley. The lovely Faith Hill hit the stage and the crowd was buzzing when husband, Tim McGraw joined her on stage and together they sang, "Let's Make Love".
Australian hunk, Keith Urban, kicked off the second set, and had the crowd on it's feet, dancing... Shania Twain followed his performance with an equally energetic set of her own.
The show closer was the one and only, Brooks & Dunn, who nailed a 40-minute set, sending the crowd home wanting more.
The event helped raise naearly $3,000 for the hockey club.
Legends Live Go To Work For Zachary Ghazali
Saturday, October 3rd, Legends Live was called upon to help raise needed funds for 18-year-old Zachary Ghazali.
The crowd was excited to get the night going, and the entertainers were ready for the call.
Neil Diamond, Shania Twain, The Blues Brothers, Tim McGraw and Elvis rocked the audience at the Hellenic Banquet Halls, in Windsor, Ontario.
All the proceeds went to benefit Zachary, who suffers from a disease called Freidreichs Ataxia, a terminal disease that attacks the nervous system.
One Night With You
Saturday, August 15th the Masonic Temple Ballroom in Windsor, Ontario celebrated the 32nd anniversary of Elvis' death with Live Tributes by James Gibb and Tim 'E' and the Yes Men band.
The event, hosted by the Elvis Keeps Rockin Fan Club of Windsor, was enjoyed by over 200 loyal Elvis fans.
James Gibb's 50's version of The King started the night off. His 30-minute set included early hits such as Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Don't Be Cruel, and Heartbreak Hotel.
The Yes Men band were tight and rockin' on this eve, particularly to the high-energy sets of Tim E.
Fans were treated to a 1-hour set of Elvis, The Comeback era, complete with black leather suit. The place was on it's feet for the set closer, If I Can Dream.
Tim E followed that set up with a 1-hour plus set of Vegas era classics such as Polk Salad Annie, Sweet Caroline, Hurt, Suspicious Minds, and Elvis' show closing signature song, Can't Help Falling In Love With You.
The crowd didn;t want the night to end, and Tim E came out and performed Viva Las Vegas along with James Gibb to close the night out.
All-in-all, the evening was a musical success.
